DIS Wi-Fi is available throughout all DIS Copenhagen buildings. DIS Copenhagen buildings include classrooms, campus area, Residential Communities, and Living & Learning Communities. The Wi-Fi network is called ‘DIS-Student’ and to connect to it, you must use your five-digit Student ID as username and your birthday as password.
The format for the password should be as follows: Month## (Capital first letter and two-digit date. Example: January01)
In living situations where DIS Wi-Fi is not provided, you can get a 4G Wi-Fi router for the semester. Contact the Student Affairs Department for more information about getting a router.
Classroom AV Setup
Each classroom is equipped with a computer and a projector. The computer has DVD capabilities. It is possible to use your personal laptop with our AV system. Some classrooms may not have an appropriate HDMI/VGA adapter for your computer to use, so be sure to provide your own. For your reference, there is a set-up instruction card placed in each classroom.
Note: When classes are not scheduled, you are welcome to use classroom computers and rooms for quiet study. See the schedule outside each classroom for availability.
Saving Your Work on A DIS Computer
Never save work on the local computer (Desktop, My Documents, etc.), as this information is erased on a daily basis to insure adequate memory. Instead, save to your personal student folder. The storage allowance for students is 500 MB. Architecture & Design students receive an additional 500 MB, for a total of 1 GB.
