To place a call from the U.S. to Denmark:
- Dial 011
- Dial 45 (Denmark’s country code)
- Dial the 8-digit Danish telephone number
To place a call from the U.S. to Sweden:
- Dial 011
- Dial 46 (Sweden’s country code)
- Dial the 9-digit Swedish telephone number
How to Send and Receive Packages
Receiving mail and/or packages in Denmark or Sweden looks different from what you might be used to.

Please note: DIS can not accept packages, so use your student’s local address, which your student can provide you with after they arrive. Your student should be sure to put their name on their mailbox in order to receive mail. In addition, due to storage space, it is not possible to ship items before your student’s term.
