Your First Point of Contact
The DIS North American Office is a team of full-time professional staff, based in St Paul, Minnesota, with over 120 combined years of experience at DIS. Most of us are DIS alumni ourselves!
Please consider the North American Office your first point of contact before and during your student’s time in Denmark or Sweden. We are here to advise and support students and families through the DIS journey, so please contact us at DIS@DISabroad.org if you would like to connect with a staff member.
As we work together with you to support your student, you may hear us nudging you to keep in mind that your student should be at the center of most communications – working directly with DIS, their home institution, and you. Expect your student to be responsible for keeping you and DIS informed of their experiences and needs; honor their developing autonomy while staying connected.
Family Newsletter Communication
Our Family Newsletters provide helpful resources and advice for parents, family members, and/or personal contacts. These emails are sent before and during your student’s semester or summer sessions in Scandinavia.
In order to be on the listserv for Family Newsletters, your student will need to add your name and email as an Emergency Contact in the ‘Personal Information’ section of their Student Registration, and select ‘Invite this contact to receive DIS Family Newsletters’.
Follow DIS on Social Media
Stay on top of what is going on at DIS throughout your student’s semester or summer sessions by following DIS on our news and social networks that can be found at:
