New Programs
DIS Stockholm is excited to announce two new academic programs!
Computer Science – starts fall 2023
With its publicly-financed specialized education, startup incubators, and industrial hubs with computer science at their core, Sweden is at the forefront of research and innovation in this field.

Politics & Security – starts fall 2023
This program replaces the current Terrorism & Security program in Stockholm.
Politics & Security examines the complexity of policy making and security in today’s society. Students seek to better understand what terrorism is, examine the impact of cybersecurity and cyberwarfare, and learn about the effects of migration and energy security on Europe.

New Core Course
A second Core Course has been added to the Neuroscience program. The course starts in fall 2023.

DIS Lab & Research Opportunities
Students can gain international lab experience or join an engaged community of scholars across various disciplines to collaborate on their research project as a Research Assistant. Enrollment is competitive and requires an additional application during registration with DIS. Some prerequisites may apply.
- Forensic Psychology Lab
- Medical Simulation Lab
- Neuroscience of Emotion Lab – starts in spring 2023 and replaces Affective Neuroscience Lab

Exploration Electives
Students can enroll in one of our 3-credit Exploration Electives, which give them the opportunity to learn first-hand beyond the walls of a classroom and includes travel to another European city – at no extra cost.
- Photo Documentary and Discovery: With a travel component to Berlin, Germany
- Scandinavian Textiles and Fashion Workshop: with a travel component to Helsinki, Finland
