Fall Program At-A-Glance, IEW at DIS

The Spring 2020 International Educators Workshop (IEW) will start in Copenhagen and end in Stockholm. The week will follow a similar format to the schedule below.

Inspired by Summer 2019’s International Educators Conference (IEC), the Spring 2020 IEW will l have daily themes: 55°N, 12°ETrustDislocation, Lagom, and Footprints.

 

Sunday (Copenhagen)

  • Recommended arrival to Copenhagen (all participants staying in a Homestay should plan to arrive on this date, see the accommodations page for more information)

Monday (Copenhagen)

  • Check-in
  • Introduction to Denmark and DIS Copenhagen
  • Opening Session: Introduction to DIS Identity & Mission, Programs & Services, Curriculum, and Collaboration
  • Welcome reception with DIS staff and faculty

Tuesday (Copenhagen)

  • Attend classes*
  • Discussion sessions on topics in education abroad, aligned with the daily theme
  • Student panel or meet with students from your home institution
  • Small group hygge dinners hosted by DIS staff and faculty

Wednesday (Copenhagen during the day/Stockholm in the evening)

Thursday (Stockholm)

  • Introduction to Sweden and DIS Stockholm
  • Fika with DIS staff and faculty
  • Attend classes*
  • Discussion sessions or excursions on topics in education abroad, aligned with the daily theme

Friday (Stockholm)

  • Attend classes*
  • Discussion sessions or excursions on topics in education abroad, aligned with the daily theme
  • Student panel or meet with students from your home institution
  • Plenary session
  • Concluding dinner

Saturday (Stockholm)

  • Departure for U.S.
