A critical examination of key art movements, focusing on a contextual analysis of selected paintings and sculptures by major artists of the period, such as Manet, Gauguin, and Munch, which trace the evolution and the impact of modernity in a European context. Through Field Studies to museums and galleries in Copenhagen, you learn to identify and critically analyze key works, significant artists, and main styles of the 19th century.
