Study Tours

Included in Session 2, Architecture & Design Session, Furniture Design Sessions, and select courses in the Labs, Research, and Practicums Session, course-integrated Study Tours form a central part of your DIS academic experience.

Take Your Classroom on the Road

While on Study Tours in Europe, theories learned in the classroom come to life by meeting with professionals and experts in your field who contribute to furthering your understanding of course topics.

Hands-on and experiential, Study Tours combining theory with practice, and expose you to various cultural perspectives. You visit sites and experts in your field of interest that you may not otherwise access.

Connecting with Classmates

During the week, you unpack observations and reflect with fellow classmates and faculty, as you sit down for meals and discuss what you’ve seen, who you’ve met, and the new perspectives that you’ve gained. Additionally, attending performances, eating cuisine, meeting with locals, or visiting historical sites contextualize the culture and place you are visiting.

Where do DIS Study Tours take you?

All over Europe! From London to Vienna, the Netherlands, Poland, and the Faroe Islands, you travel to exciting destinations that are relevant to your studies.
