Our study tour to Croatia takes us to its third largest city, Rijeka, and the Kvarner Gulf. What makes the region extra special beyond its physical beauty, culture, and the possibility to island hop in the archipelago is that Rijeka has also been named as a 2020 European Capital of Culture. The region is still less explored than other parts of Croatia, and evokes a feeling of wanderlust. We fly in and out of the capital Zagreb, which is a two-hour drive away.
