This lab-based course offers a unique opportunity to witness climate change firsthand in the Arctic, while getting hands-on experience with lab methods used in climate science. The course includes a field lab for 2-3 weeks in Greenland where we visit the margins of the Greenland Ice Sheet and the surrounding glacial landscapes to collect climate data and set up measurements in the field. We work together in teams and engage with researchers doing field work in the Arctic. In the lab in Copenhagen, we set up experiments to further increase our understanding of the mechanisms behind natural and anthropogenic climate change.
