DIS to Open in Stockholm

Scandinavia is currently an under-served region when it comes to undergraduate study abroad, so while Copenhagen has been our primary focus for 55 years, we look forward to branching out.

DIS DIS Stockholm Semester

We look forward to putting our extensive experience in this region to work with a Scandinavian curriculum and a solid network in Stockholm thanks to our current study tours there.

In Stockholm, we will offer students the same study abroad model as we do in Copenhagen; a liberal arts curriculum, challenging courses, course-integrated study tours (with a short study tour in Sweden and a week-long study tour in Europe), diverse housing options, cultural engagement opportunities, and strong student support services.

Initially, DIS will offer three core courses in the fields of Psychology, Health Science, and Gender Studies, and students will also be able to choose freely across a curriculum of electives in a variety of disciplines. All courses will be taught by local DIS faculty with a Swedish, Scandinavian, or European perspective, including a course on Swedish Language and Culture.

We look forward to opening our doors in Stockholm! Stay tuned for more updates soon to come, as well as a website detailing our future Swedish programs, courses, housing, and engagement opportunities by September 2015.
