New Architecture and Design Library Space Open to Visitors

DIS just opened a new Architecture and Design space on the second floor of the DIS Library, featuring work from former Architecture and Design program assistants as well as pieces crafted in the DIS wood workshop.

DIS DIS Copenhagen Semester

The new DIS Architecture and Design library space has all the natural light and clean lines of classic Scandinavian design. Designed by former DIS Program Assistants, Emily Friedenberg and Brandon Brooks, the space offers students a great place to study and collaborate.

The space showcases purpose-built shelving that was crafted in DIS wood workshops in Copenhagen by DIS workshop assistants, Molly Bess Steffensen Taylor and Signe Østergaard Lund.

Filled with books, the space holds fascinating reads on architects, architecture firms, and architecture theory, as well as an extensive collection of books on the history of Copenhagen buildings, design history, and the history of Marimekko – an iconic Finnish home furnishings, textiles, and clothing company.

If you are in the neighborhood, come by the DIS Library on Vestergade 23 to check out the new Architecture and Design space.
