Ellen has worked in higher education with an emphasis on international education for more than 30 years. Ellen’s current position is Associate Dean and Director of Education Abroad at University of Richmond and she was previously at Oberlin College, another DIS partner university.
Ellen writes about her appointment:
“It is an honor to be invited to join the Board of Directors at DIS, an organization I have long admired for its distinctive study abroad programs and important role within the education abroad field. I look forward to working with the Board and partners to continue DIS’ outstanding work in this evolving time in international education.”
Ellen’s appointment replaces that of Martha Johnson, former Assistant Dean, Learning Abroad at University of Minnesota, after eight years of service on the DIS Board. The DIS Board and management had the opportunity at the Annual Meeting to thank Martha for her contribution to DIS.
