Trine Højbjerg Sand appointed to the DIS Board of Directors

The Danish Ministry of Higher Education and Science has appointed Trine Højbjerg Sand to serve on the DIS Board of Directors for a four-year term from April 30, 2022, to April 30, 2026.

Trine has worked in higher education with an emphasis on international education for more than 20 years. Trine’s current position is Deputy Director of Education and Students at Roskilde University, and she was previously the Director of International Education at the University of Copenhagen.

Trine writes about her appointment:

“I am thankful for the appointment from the Ministry of Higher Education and Science, and I look very much forward to serve as a member of the DIS Board. I know DIS as a first-mover institution on international higher education from my time as Director of International Education at the University of Copenhagen, and I am excited to learn more and to contribute.”

Trine’s appointment replaces that of Anni Søborg, Director of Rector’s Office and Head of Educational Innovation at University of Southern Denmark, after eight years of service on the DIS Board. The DIS Board and management had the opportunity at the Annual Meeting to thank Anni for her contribution to DIS.
