Wellesley College Students Have Arrived at DIS

Students from Wellesley College participate in a specialized custom program in Copenhagen.

DIS DIS Copenhagen Semester

In the beginning of November, DIS welcomed 15 students from Wellesley College to Copenhagen. The students are enrolled in a 7-week program that will conclude on December 18. Following mandatory COVID-19 testing and quarantine, the students have now begun exploring their new city.

DIS has worked in close collaboration with Wellesley College to ensure the best and safest experience for students, faculty, staff, and the local community. Each student has picked two DIS courses from a range of disciplines including history, sociology, politics, and the liberal arts.

The students reside in DIS housing, a short walk from their classes at DIS. Classes and Field Studies are held in person, with distancing and sanitation protocols in place following local public health guidelines. All planned activities have a maximum of 10 participants.

Over the next weeks, the students can look forward to exploring different parts of Denmark with planned excursions to cultural and historical sites. In order to maintain the well-being of the community, the students are not allowed to travel outside of Denmark.

DIS is excited to get to know the students from Wellesley even better, and to continue delivering an engaging and educational academic program this fall.
