About this course

This course is a study of clinical psychology with a focus on the way we approach the field within a European context. The course covers the origins of European clinical psychology, cultural, and ethical issues, as well as different psychotherapeutic schools. The focus throughout the course is on adult mental health.

Pre-requisites

One psychology course at the university level.

Recommended course

(Psychology, Panteion University, Athens, Greece, 2012). Worked as clinical psychologist in various mental health institutions and psychiatric hospitals in Greece and France. Started a collaboration as a volunteer psychologist in Center for Børn, Familie og Handicap in the Herlev Kommune. With DIS since 2017.

PhD in Psychology (The University of Cape Town, South Africa), MA in Psychology (Rhodes University, South Africa), MA in Clinical Psychology (Rhodes University, South Africa)I have worked as a clinical psychologist in private practice since 2008. My style of practice is informed by psychoanalytic principles derived from relational psychoanalysis, attachment theory, and humanistic approaches to psychotherapy. In my work I engage primarily with adults, working with individuals, couples and families. With DIS Since 2022.
