“Never be embarrassed by your financial situation. DIS is aware of low-income students’ need for scholarships, and are willing to help. I have gotten so much support since I’ve been here, and it all started with asking.”
Additional study abroad scholarships
Here is a list of scholarships that have historically rewarded funds to DIS students. Please note that some scholarships are specific to either Copenhagen or Stockholm, while others are available regardless of location.
Home school financial aid
For assistance transferring your financial aid package, consult your study abroad advisor or financial aid officer on campus.
They may also be able to assist you in exploring potential sources of additional financial aid or loans.
Coming prepared and applying for scholarships
Determined to ensure finances weren’t a source of stress for Suzi (Eastern University), she applied and received need-based and diversity scholarships from DIS, as well as the Fund for Education Abroad scholarship.

While studying with DIS Stockholm, Natalie (Furman University) received the Anders Urhskov Leadership Scholarship Award, which allowed Natalie to return for a second semester at DIS Copenhagen.
