This course provides you with a broad-ranging knowledge of Swedish politics and society, exploring the basis of Swedish political culture and national identity, the political system, and the roots and challenges of the Swedish welfare state. It focuses on contemporary issues like the special role of the immigration policy and the challenge from the new right wing political party. It also includes an introduction to Swedish foreign policy and the character of Swedish neutrality.
