About this course

Denmark’s royal family has had a significant impact on the history, art, architecture, and urban planning of the country. But why do Danes continually support the monarchy in a country known for equality?

This course discusses the institution of the monarchy, including comparative studies of other European royalty and American First Families. The classroom occasionally grows and Copenhagen, with its streets and monuments, embraces us. Field Studies include half-day trips to palaces and churches.
