Design Thinking is “the ability to combine empathy for the context of a problem, creativity in the generation of solutions, and rationality to analyze and fit solutions to the context” (Robin Lanahan, Microsoft). It applies the ways designers work to a broader set of issues and problems in business and society. This course presents tools, processes, theories, and cases of Design Thinking in a language that is understood by all disciplines, no matter what experience the learner has. The course mixes illustrated lectures with fast-paced, hands-on multidisciplinary project activity.
