Stay updated with DIS communication

Throughout your study abroad, DIS will keep you updated via email, Canvas, and DIS Navigate with essential info on academics, housing, and student life. Stay on top of everything by reading these updates, packed with helpful tips and resources tailored to your experience.

DIS Navigate: our student engagement platform

We will often encourage you to use DIS Navigate where you can connect with classmates, join events, access all DIS resources, and receive notifications.

DIS Navigate can be used in a web browser, and we also require all students to download the app for timely notifications, including health and safety alerts.

The Student Hub: a place to meet and engage

Your go-to resource center

The Student Hub is your central base, offering study spaces, lounges, and easy access to DIS services. Whether you need help with your legal residence, insurance, transportation, or just have questions, our friendly team is here for you. Stop by to relax, meet friends, or get support on anything from local café recommendations to replacing lost IDs.

The Student Hub Team can assist with inquiries related to life abroad, including, but not limited to:

  • Guidance on upcoming events and activities, both within DIS and in the local community
  • Payments and reimbursements
  • Pick-up or drop-off of items at the request of faculty or staff, or items you have rented
  • Pick-up of items that you have lost and need to replace (such as your housing key or your student ID card/DIS building fob)
  • Drop-off of printed academic assignments
  • Lending books from the DIS library

Attend events and join clubs

Throughout the semester and summer, DIS hosts events and activities for DIS students. Examples include speed-friending, board games and craft making, topic discussions, attending sporting events, and more! We also encourage you to create a club or group, so you can meet fellow students that share your interests.

All information about clubs, groups, and upcoming events are listed in DIS Navigate, where you will register as an attendee if you are interested.

Book a meeting with DIS staff

Current students can book meetings with the DIS Housing Team, Care Team, and Academic Support.
