The course content is arranged in collaboration with you as an individual student. The following areas can be covered: sight reading, accompaniment, transposition, chord playing, and solo repertoire. Depending on your level of playing, the course may also include chamber music and score reading/piano reduction.
Application Process & Deadline
The Royal Danish Academy of Music (RDAM) sets a high standard in music performance. Applications are reviewed by RDAM on a rolling basis, but all material is to be submitted no later than April 1 (fall semester) or October 1 (spring semester) so the Academy application committee can review the material.

- Start your application with DIS
- Next, apply additionally to RDAM using their online application form found here. First, you need to create a user. Then choose ‘Search for programme’ and find ‘DIS Applicants.’ Follow the steps to create an application.
As part of your application, you must submit an unedited audition video that is 15 minutes of length. Before starting your application, read more about the specific audition requirements on the RDAM website.
Once accepted, a personal course schedule will be worked out in coordination with DIS to fit in with your other electives at DIS.
