Additional fees
Program deposit
A non-refundable program deposit of $500 is required in order to confirm your place in the program. This is included in your tuition fee. If you are not certain whether you pay the deposit or whether your school pays it on your behalf, please check with your study abroad advisor or contact the DIS North American Office. This deposit will be deducted from the invoice issued to you or to the institution that issues payment for you.
School of Record fee
DIS issues a Final Grade Report after completion of your term of attendance and many U.S. institutions accept this report for credit directly from DIS. The University of Minnesota is the DIS school of record, which issues official transcripts to institutions that are unable to accept the DIS Final Grade Report as documentation of credit earned abroad. There is an additional fee of $450 for this service, which will be added to your invoice.
You will receive additional information about the school of record during program registration. Final Grade Reports and/or University of Minnesota official transcripts will only be issued if all fees have been paid to DIS and there are no academic or administrative holds on your record.
