Student Blogger applicants are expected to submit a published WordPress website.
Read this WordPress Blog Guide and complete the following steps:
- Create a new blog dedicated to the topic of your semester abroad on WordPress. We ask that you only use WordPress due to technical issues with other blogging platforms
- Add a predeparture blog post. Here you can write about your personal background, why you chose to study abroad, and goals for your upcoming semester with DIS
- Add an “About Me” page introducing yourself. This is usually the first place people click on a blog so make sure it stands out!
Once you have completed the steps above, submit your application by filling out the form below.

Summer Student Blogger applicants are not expected to create a WordPress blog before starting the application.

Student Videographer applicants are expected to submit at least one sample of your work on a public platform like Vimeo, YouTube, Google Drive, or social media so we can view it.
A DSLR or a high-quality smartphone camera (iPhone 13 or newer) is required for this position.
Having video editing software on your computer will also streamline the production process, but if you don’t have one, DIS will provide it for you.
