Scheduling your flight
Your flight should arrive between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Arrival Day. DIS staff will be at the airport to welcome you and provide transportation to your housing.
DIS Stockholm students should book their flights to Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN), and DIS Copenhagen students should book their flights to Copenhagen Airport (CPH).
Your return flight must be scheduled to depart after Concluding Events/Study Days. Final exams will not be rescheduled. Students who miss a final will receive a zero on the exam or, at the discretion of the faculty, the entire course.

Top travel tips
- Book a flight with as few layovers as possible to minimize travel delays or border entry challenges.
- Purchase a return/round-trip ticket. While traveling to Scandinavia on a one-way flight is legal, airline or airport officials can turn you away if you cannot prove that you plan to leave.
- Past students have had the most issues when booking their ticket through Priceline or Expedia. Instead, we recommend booking through Kayak, Google Flights, or directly with the airline.
Let us know when you’ll arrive
Once you have booked your flight, you will need to add your flight details in your Student Registration so that DIS can plan for your arrival.

If you’re arriving early
Some students choose to arrive a day or two early to get ahead of jet lag or take advantage of a cheaper flight. While you cannot move into DIS housing before Arrival Day, we’ll tell you where and when to meet up with DIS on Arrival Day so you can move into your housing.
If you’re arriving late
We cannot accommodate students arriving after 3:00 p.m. except for unexpected travel delays or rare exceptions (academic conflicts, etc.). We will share instructions and contact information in the event of unexpected delays at orientation and in a newsletter the week before Arrival Day.
