Sample IEW Program Overview:

Sunday (Stockholm)

  • Recommended arrival to Stockholm (all participants staying in a Homestay should plan to arrive on this date, see the accommodations page for more information)

Monday (Stockholm):

  • Check-in
  • Custom Field Studies throughout Stockholm
  • Opening Session: Introduction to DIS Identity & Mission
  • Reception with DIS staff and faculty

Tuesday (Stockholm):

  • Attend classes*
  • Discussion sessions on topics in education abroad
  • Tour of DIS Stockholm housing options
  • Student panel or meet with students from your home institution
  • Session and site visit on undergraduate research
  • Small group dinners hosted by DIS staff and faculty

Wednesday (Stockholm):

  • Attend Field Studies across DIS programs*
  • Research and Practicum site visits
  • Late afternoon transfer from Stockholm to Copenhagen via train

Thursday (Copenhagen):

Friday (Copenhagen):

  • Attend classes*
  • Open houses with DIS Custom and Faculty-Led Programs and the DIS Learning Lab
  • Student panel or meet with students from your home institution
  • Concluding event

Saturday (Copenhagen):

  • Departure for U.S.
