DIS Pre-Departure Handbook
Our On-Site & Pre-Departure Handbook will be sent to you once you are admitted to DIS. This Handbook contains a plethora of information about Swedish and Danish language and customs, as well as the ins and outs of Stockholm and Copenhagen. Since it is chock-full of insider advice, it may also be helpful to you once you have arrived.

All you need to know about coming abroad with DIS will be posted here by spring 2018, including the Summer 2018 Pre-Departure Handbook.
Reflect Before You Arrive
Your summer abroad may be the first time you have ever left your home country. Allow yourself some time to reflect on some uncertainties you may have. What will challenge you when living in a new culture with different societal norms than those you are used to? How will you meet locals while studying at DIS?
Equip yourself with knowledge of the cultures and customs, share nervous emotions with friends, family, and your study abroad advisor, and fuel yourself with ideas from past students. When you finally arrive, you will be so glad you did your research, as you will be ready to make the most of your summer abroad!
