Your DIS Registration

Your Student Registration acts as a checklist of what information you must submit to DIS. Be sure to complete the ‘Required Steps’ components of registration as soon as possible.

Your Online Pre-Departure Course

Before your semester start, you will receive an invitation to Compass, your DIS online pre-departure course. This course was designed by alumni and DIS staff to answer frequently asked questions and serve as a resource for you before and during you time abroad. It is mandatory to complete before arrival at DIS.

Communication from DIS

Check your email regularly! You are responsible for staying up-to-date on pre-departure communication from DIS:

  • From registration to arrival: You will complete the Compass Course; meanwhile DIS will send newsletters of important arrival and registration information as well as helpful pre-departure advice
  • Six to eight weeks before arrival: DIS will issue invoices either to you directly or to your home university
