Milly and Isabelle’s September in Stockholm
Isabelle, Barnard College, and Milly, Macalester College, walk you through their September in Stockholm. From strolls in the old town, to local Field Studies, outdoor swimming, and traditional Swedish ‘fika,’ Milly and Isabelle enjoy the many facets of the city.
During their 2019 fall semester in Stockholm, Milly stayed in a Music Living and Learning Community (LLC) and Isabelle stayed in a Studentboende. Isabelle’s Core Course was Positive Psychology and her electives were Storytelling Workshop: How Narratives Work, Intermediate Swedish, History of Sweden in Europe and the World, and Nordic Contemporary Art. Milly shared the same Core Course as Isabelle, and her chosen electives were Storytelling Workshop: How Narrative Works, Philosophy of Technology and Human Values, History of Sweden in Europe and the World, and Psychology of Emerging Adulthood.

Mark’s November in Stockholm
Mark, Ohio State University, enjoyed all that Stockholm has to offer in the crisp month of November. Join Mark for a delicious breakfast during his Swedish Language and Culture class and on a visit to one of the city’s many awe-inspiring museums. Get a glimpse of classes at DIS Stockholm and of Mark’s Homestay experience.
During his fall 2019 semester in Stockholm, Mark lived in a Homestay in a lush Stockholm suburb, easily accessible by public transport. Mark’s Core Course was Affective Neuroscience: Emotions, Cognition, and Behavior and his electives were Affective Neuroscience Lab, Psychology of Loneliness, History of Sweden in Europe and the World, and Swedish Language and Culture.
