Future International Educators Workshops follow a similar format to the schedule noted below:

Sunday (Copenhagen)

  • Recommended arrival to Copenhagen (all participants staying in a Homestay should plan to arrive on this date)

Monday (Copenhagen)

  • Check-in
  • Introduction to Danish and Swedish Language & Culture at DIS
  • Urban awareness experience with DIS faculty
  • Opening Session: Introduction to DIS Identity & Mission, Programs & Services, Curriculum, and Collaboration
  • Welcome reception with DIS staff and faculty

Tuesday (Copenhagen)

  • Attend classes*
  • Discussion sessions on education abroad issues
  • Student panel or meet with students from your home institution
  • Small group hygge dinners hosted by DIS staff and faculty

Wednesday (Copenhagen)

Thursday (Stockholm)

  • Morning transfer from Copenhagen to Stockholm
  • Introduction to DIS Stockholm and tour of facilities
  • Fika with DIS staff and faculty
  • Faculty-led excursions

Friday (Stockholm)

  • Attend classes*
  • Discussion session on education abroad issues
  • Student panel or meet with students from your home institution
  • Plenary session
  • Concluding dinner

Saturday (Stockholm)

  • Departure for U.S.
