Jane Honikman is not only a DIS alumni from the very early years of DIS’ history (1965-66), she is also an acclaimed trailblazer in postpartum and parental mental health around the world and a prolific author. A longtime advocate for the emotional well-being of parents and families, Jane has written several influential books and continues to lecture and train internationally. Her work highlights the importance of social support for mothers, fathers, grandparents, and families. Her newest book, Love, Secrecy & Birth, was inspired by letters she wrote while studying at DIS, recounting her courageous journey through pregnancy and adoption in the 1960s.
