About this course
A companion course for Positive Psychology, this practicum focuses on the application of positive psychology concepts, theories, and interventions in a Danish context. The aim is the development of professional skills such as observation, interviewing, and interventions within the field, by being placed in one of a variety of organizations. The benefits and challenges of applying positive psychology in diverse settings are explored.
This course is made up of classes and practicum visits. At the practicum sites, you will observe and engage in positive psychology applications under the guidance of a supervising staff member for a required total of 30 hours throughout the semester. Shadowing a trained psychologist is not included in the practicum.
Course Note: It is not permitted to enroll in Happiness Lab: Positive Psychology and this course simultaneously.

Note: While you are assigned practicum times outside of your DIS course schedule, you will be given a time between 8:00 – 18:00. Practicum placements can be placed on any day of the week, Monday through Friday.
Note About Criminal Clearance
You must bring a physical copy of your criminal clearance with you to Copenhagen from the U.S. (or your country of citizenship) to enroll in this program. It is your responsibility to ensure you have this with you and can present it to your practicum site if they require it. Do not submit a copy of this to DIS, but please show your criminal clearance to your practicum coordinator once you arrive at DIS.
