Jeff Risom, CIO: Chief Innovation Officer of Gehl Architects and former DIS student and faculty will offer insight into the Gehl approach to public life and public space. Jeff shares how the Gehl practice is evolving and fostering public life as a strategy, practice, and movement, including elaborating on Public Life Protocol, a groundbreaking tool for delivery of human-scale “cities for people.” He will also present key cases that best illustrate Gehl’s methodology for understanding human behavior in cities, and address the biggest challenges facing urban environments today.
Regitze Marianne Hess, DIS Lecturer and Gehl Institute Board member, will moderate and contribute to a dialogue on public life and public space as key ingredients to the social sustainability of cities and communities and how this contributes to the implementation of the UN 2030 Sustainable Development Goals and New Urban Agenda.
