A new book by DIS Stockholm faculty member Vendela Grundell, Flow and Friction: On the Tactical Potential of Interfacing with Glitch Art, will be published this month by Art and Theory Publishing in Sweden. Her book explores digital, new media art, and using technology in innovative ways such as by short circuiting digital cameras, corrupting code, exploring mistakes or errors that happen in technical systems, and how the digital interface shapes our way of seeing. Vendela teaches Nordic Contemporary Art and Impressionism in Paris.
DIS Copenhagen faculty member Jesper Petersen has also worked hard to debut his new publication this month, titled Kvinderne i Medina and published by Akademisk Rejseforlag in Denmark. Jesper teaches Globalized Islam and Sharia Law and Muslims in the West.
