Mattias’ main tasks will be to handle the maintenance of DIS Stockholm facilities and student housing. Beyond that, he will also manage IT services at DIS Stockholm, hold the DIS Emergency Phone, and engage with, and support, current students .
Previously, Mattias worked as an Assistant Coordinator at SOS International, a Nordic personal assistance solutions company. Mattias was a case coordinator, in which he coordinated with insurance companies to organize response plans for clients’ emergencies. Before that, Mattias attended Uppsala University, and has been living in Stockholm for one year.
When asked if he is looking forward to working with DIS, Mattias expressed great enthusiasm:
“When I first heard about DIS, I knew right away that it was an organization I wanted to be part of. It seemed like a happy place to work with young, intelligent, and engaged students from varied backgrounds. And when I met the staff in Copenhagen during my interview it sealed the deal. There was an energy to the office that’s hard to describe. It was bristling with activity before the new semester.
We have a lot of work to do to make everything ready for our students. Together with Marcel and everyone in Denmark, there is no doubt in my mind that we will have the same energy preparing for the debut in Stockholm.
But most important for me will be that the students feel at home in our brand new student apartments and the DIS building at Melodislingan … I want to make sure that their stay in Sweden is something that they remember fondly.”
DIS is looking forward to having Mattias as part of the Stockholm team!Back to all news
