DIS DIS Stockholm Semester

We are pleased to announce Marcel Grüninger as the new Housing & Student Affairs Manager. In this position, Marcel will be developing and coordinating housing and engagement opportunities; communicating with Swedish Homestay hosts, and Visiting hosts for the Visiting Host program; connecting with stakeholders in the greater Stockholm area; and supporting and interfacing with students throughout the semester. Marcel is currently working closely with the Housing & Student Affairs team in Copenhagen.

Marcel has held multiple positions for American Field Service (AFS) Intercultural Programs in Stockholm, ranging from Organizational Development Coordinator to Program Director. His widespread skill level with management and leadership, as well as experience within the field of international education, made him a standout candidate for the position with DIS Stockholm.

Marcel has already brought vibrant energy in preparation for DIS Stockholm, and will be on the ground in Stockholm for the introductory fall 2016 semester. When asked about his new position, Marcel commented, “It is an incredible feeling to work with DIS Stockholm now, in its final phase before launch. So much has been thought of already and I meet energetic and curious stakeholders … With every bit of the puzzle we piece together, I get more excited about Arrivals Day!”

DIS is enthusiastic to have Marcel join the team! Look for an article highlighting the new DIS Stockholm Facilities Coordinator, Matthias Tholén, coming soon.
