The exhibition welcomed innovation – with final work featuring in furniture design, architecture, interior architecture, graphic design, and urban design, chairs were lined up on the floor, while the architectural models stood atop tables, making it easy for all to interact with both. Throughout the room on computers, there were digital shows, as well as graphic work. Students roamed freely from their projects, and had the opportunity to find out what their classmates in other studios had been up to this summer.
Following this final exhibition, students headed to their social, where Academic Excellence awards were announced by Henning Thomsen, Program Director of the Architecture and Design programs. These awards recognize students who have distinguished themselves through diligence, commitment, and academic performance, and have contributed positively to the collaborative nature of the classroom. Additionally, Henning recognized three students in the Furniture Design Workshop and Studio, with a Design Excellence Award. Congratulations to the following students, who received awards this summer:
Interior Architecture: Lisa Hartanov, University of Oregon
Graphic Design: Alexander Jack McKenzie, Pratt Institute
