DIS Debuts New Housing Video Series

The fall 2013 semester was a busy one for DIS Videographer and Alumnus, David Gwynn, who spent much of his time filming students and their daily routines while living in Homestays, DIS Residence Communities (DRC), Living & Learning Communities (LLC), and Kollegiums.

This spring, David has illuminated these student stories in our new DIS Housing Video Series!

We would like to extend our thanks to all the DIS students and homestay hosts who opened their doors and their experiences to help us tell the story of these housing options at DIS. The following videos will give future DIS students insight into our dynamic housing options and set expectations about the differences of living in each:

Our Homestay Video captures the family dynamics of three separate homestays. Featured in the video:

Hosts: Christa & Henning Julin
Their Students: Tamara Damjanac, Carleton College & Marina Martinez, Denison University

Hosts: Henrik Friis
Their Student: Steven Wett, St. Olaf College

Hosts: The Andersen Family
Their Student: Conor Brynes, University of Colorado at Boulder

Our Kollegium Video follows three students living in various Kollegiums around Copenhagen. Students featured in the video: Dayna Kim, Haverford College, Ari Shapiro, Northwestern University, and Kelly Black, University at Albany.

Our DIS Residential Community (DRC) Video follows three students in their separate DRCs: Emily Farb, Wake Forest University, Connor Craig, University of Richmond, and Tori Mold, Bucknell University.

Our Living & Learning Community (LLC) Video was filmed by DIS Student Videographer, Kendall Rock, Colorado College who lived in the Green Living & Learning Community during her semester. She had the chance to spend time at each Living & Learning Community to capture the atmosphere and events of each, and to present one video about the experience as a whole. Special thanks to DIS student, Nicholas Camaratto, Santa Clara University, who created the background music.
