DIS Evening Panel Explores Architectural Design and the Health Sector

Last Tuesday, DIS held an evening panel, ‘Designing Health,’ featuring guest speaker Pernille Weiss Terkildsen, founder and CEO of ArchiMed.

DIS DIS Copenhagen Semester

Pernille presented on the impact architectural design can have on medical centers and the processes behind designing for the health care sector. ArchiMed is an architectural firm that aims to create positive energy between health care institutions’ physical settings and the people using them. Pernille shared various project examples with students, for them to get a real grasp and understanding of the concept.

Students came away from the evening with a fuller understanding of the impact of architecture on mental well-being. Following the presentation, students were given the opportunity to ask questions and network.
