Final DIS Climate Seminar Concludes with Art & the Environment Topic

The last Climate Seminar of the semester was given in late February, when guest speaker Bonnie Fortune presented her investigation of the relationship between art and the environment.

DIS DIS Copenhagen Semester

Bonnie Fortune, an artist and writer, shared with students numerous exciting art projects dealing with sustainability in both Denmark and other countries. Some interesting examples included the idea of a garden in middle of a busy intersection, a global seed bank in the arctic, floating greenhouses, and introducing vegetable varieties that adapt to specific areas.

Students were then given the opportunity to network with Bonnie, ask questions, and enjoy light refreshments and snacks following the presentation.
