DIS DIS Copenhagen Semester

On Tuesday, March 11, Mads Simon Martinussen, faculty of this summer’s new course, Roskilde Festival: Community, Culture, and Creativity, presented to interested students on Roskilde Festival, and more specifically, about the experience of volunteering there.

Mads shared what it means to volunteer in a Danish context, the history of the Roskilde Festival, how it is organized, the importance of having volunteers at such a large venue, and how to get involved through DIS.

During summer session two, Mads’ course will involve a week-long course-integrated study tour practicum at the Roskilde Festival where students will be assigned to volunteer in different contexts of the festival and come away with firsthand knowledge of what it is like to work internationally.
