DIS Collaborates with Two of Denmark’s Journalism Schools

DIS is currently exploring exciting new collaborations with two of Denmark’s Journalism Schools, the Danish School of Media and Journalism, as well as the Center for Journalism at the University of Southern Denmark.

DIS DIS Copenhagen Semester

Building on the fall semester’s success of the new interdisciplinary course taught by Cathrine Gyldensted, Changing the News: Communication and Positive Psychology, the two Danish journalism schools have taken an interest in launching a joint project called the ‘Center for Constructive Journalism,’ to develop news formats, relevant research, and courses for undergraduate students within communication and journalism.

Both schools have recruited DIS faculty member Cathrine Gyldensted to lead their ’Constructive Journalism‘ task force and to help develop the joint project. Central to the Centers’ vision, are domestic and international collaborations with partner universities and media organizations, with DIS greatly involved in talking about current and potential future collaborations.
