Program Overview:

Under the theme ‘And yet, it moves,’ we will explore how global and societal disruptions impact higher education and study abroad. The approach throughout the week will be high-impact learning practices and experiences rooted in Scandinavian values – dialogue, trust, ‘the good life,’ openness & transparency, innovation, and nature.

Sunday, June 9
Arrive to Stockholm

Monday, June 10 and Tuesday, June 11

The conference starts Monday and Tuesday with dynamic plenary sessions, interactive workshops, and Field Studies using Stockholm as your classroom. Monday night will include a celebration to commence the week. There will be small group dinners on Tuesday evening.

Wednesday, June 12 – Thursday, June 13
An overnight excursion with smaller groups outside Stockholm. With the stunning Swedish nature as the backdrop, we will engage in a more intimate community to connect, challenge, and renew our perspectives on challenges in higher education

Friday, June 14
A plenary event concludes the week, ending by 15:00.

*For those interested in visiting DIS Copenhagen, there will be an optional, half-day Open House event on Monday, June 17.

Information about Sessions

Specifics about Field Studies, workshops/sessions, overnight offsite, and other events will be released when session sign up begins on May 13. All IEC participants will be notified via email when session signup opens.
